Post-Op Week 56 Progress Report: Aiming at New Targets

image

Just like it is every month around this time…here’s the step back in this cha-cha of weight loss.  My ankles were puffy this morning despite being in bed for nearly 9 hours and downing over a gallon of fluid yesterday.  I’m not going to sweat it but that doesn’t make this any less frustrating.

Post-Op Week 55 Progress Report

I am pleased with this week’s progress.  It seems that taking the week off from the gym didn’t have as ill an effect as I thought it might.  I did try to eat under 1200 calories every day to make up for the fact that I simply wasn’t as active as usual.  I was in a knee brace until Friday, so I kept my activity to a minimum this week to let my knee recover from the sprain I sustained while running on Monday.  Continue reading

Setting New Personal Bests

Post-Op Week 23 Progress Report and Less Than 100 To Goal!

Good loss this week. I think my losses are slowing down to a healthy 2-3 pounds a week as I approach the 6-months post-op mark.  I don’t care how long it takes me to get to my goal, just so long as I get there.

Today marks another milestone: I now have less than 100 pounds to lose to get to my weight loss goal. I am less than 50 pounds from my surgeon’s goal.  It is weird to think that I could possibly be at MY goal by the summer.

And to be completely real with you, dear reader, I. Am. Terrified. Continue reading

One Hundred Pounds Later, Part 2

So once I hit milestone losses, I like to go to Dick’s Sporting Goods and pose with weights that are equal to the amount of weight I’ve lost. It helps me to get perspective on just how much weight I am no longer carrying around.
