This is a list of some of the things I want to be able to do as I work my way toward the best health of my adulthood. It is a work in progress.
- Play tennis again, like I did when I was a teenager.
- Play golf and softball again, like I did when I was in college.
- Be able to swim laps continuously.
- Build more lean muscle mass and get my body fat down to 25-30%.
- Go to hockey games again at American Airlines Center.
- Fly without a seatbelt extender.
- Buy clothes whose size begins with a 1.
- Participate in a fitness boot camp at least once.
- Weigh under 200 pounds as an adult.
- Participate in a 5K, even if I have to walk it.
- Run in a 5K from start to finish.
- Take yoga classes on a regular basis.
- Wear a pair of knee-high leather boots.
- Dance with my husband.
- Go to Europe so I can see Spain, Germany, England and Italy with my husband.
- Go to Hawaii with my husband.
- Be able to walk all over my favorite cities without tiring easily.
- Achieve a resting heart rate of 60 beats a minute.
- Travel to New York to shop for a new wardrobe when I get to my goal weight.
- To own and wear a pair of Manolo BB 50s.
- Serve as a good example for others who are considering WLS as a way to reclaim their health.
